Dive Sites

scubali3Pemuteran and Bali’s North coast offer such a dramatic contrast to the southern resorts, that a bona fide dive trip to Bali would not be complete without giving the area a few days of your time. Gateway to the world renowned Menjangan Island dive sites in Bali Barat National Park, the Pemuteran Region is peppered with excellent diving and snorkelling options, many of which are accessible by simply walking out of your resort and stepping aboard one our purpose-built high-speed dive vessels. This semi remote and relatively unknown area of Bali offers dives that must be ranked among the best the island to offer. The Pemuteran region boasts 15 dive sites suitable to all levels of diver:  spectacular wall diving of Menjangan Island National Park; rich coral slopes of Pemuteran off shore reefs; or simply snorkelling off our beach on the Biorock® project, just in front of our dive center. Macro lovers will be fascinated by the marine life at Secret Bay on the north-western tip of the island. As well, popular Puri Jati is accessible from Pemuteran. For certified divers we offer daily diving, with a minimum of 2 scheduled boat dives per day, each guided by an experienced PADI professional. Our dive vessels depart from our beach to Menjangan Island National Park and Pemuteran’s offshore reefs. Shore Dives and Night Dives sites available on request. The “Macro Magic” sites of Puri Jati and Secret Bay are within easy reach. We dive all these sites regularly, providing us with an intimate knowledge of the movements of the myriad of creatures that inhabit them. Our minimum Divemsater/Diver ratio is 1:4. scubali7Environment

At Bali Diving Academy Pemuteran we recognise our responsibility to protect the region’s unique marine environment. Bali Diving Academy Pemuteran is co-responsible for the area’s Biorock® reef regeneration project.  These “Coral Arks” create habitat in which coral thrives and juvenile fishes can survive to breeding age. We also play an active role in vocational training programs, scientific studies, and environmental audits and maintain ongoing liaison to ensure protection and management of the region. You invest in the future when you choose to dive with a company committed to both community and environment. Ten per cent of every dollar you spend with Bali Diving Academy Pemuteran goes directly to the local community.

Snorkelling

Pemuteran and Menjangan National Park are famous destinations among snorkelers from all over the world. The beautiful corals of the island are not to be missed. Our comfortable boat, departing from the beach in Taman Sari Resort, goes to Menjangan National Park daily. We leave in the morning and return in the early afternoon. Pemuteran, usually upstaged by the Menjangan National Park, is now gaining more recognition. The beautiful corals of the island are not to be missed. World class dive and snorkelling sites are easy to access in a few minutes. They are never crowded the waters are clear and calm, all of which makes for an outstanding snorkelling experience. scubali11In addition, the Biorock ® structures just in front of our dive center are a fascinating example of how it is possible to help heal a reef. A special team looks after these structures, monitoring them daily. The Biorock® center is next door to our diving center so it is easy to drop in and ask staff for information about how the concept works. At Bali Diving Academy we often host international schools, biology students, scientists and researchers who are happy to share their knowledge with our fellow divers and snorkelers. Snorkelling in front of our dive center offers much more than a chance to view fish species and corals: you can witness a rare example in which the interaction between humans and nature can create positive outcomes for both. A visit to Pemuteran and Menjangan National Park cannot be complete without having a look at these amazing Biorock® structures. About diving contact us NOW! info@scubali.com
